Fit and controls
What changes between blanket sizes and controller layouts?
The bed blankets and model 32810140 pad both change control count with size, but their dimensions and place in the bed are different. For the pad, Twin and Full images show one controller; Queen and King show two independently operated controls. Check the exact size SKU as well as the fitted or top-blanket format.
A fitted pad is a different footprint from a top blanket
Sunbeam model 32810140 is a fitted heated mattress pad: Twin 39 × 75, Full 54 × 75, Queen 60 × 80 and King 76 × 80 inches. Twin SKU 14794 and Full 14795 show one control; Queen 14796 and King 14797 show two. The product page does not publish maximum mattress depth, so the size label cannot confirm fit on a deep mattress. Compare these pad dimensions with the bed surface and ask about depth if it is essential.
A throw is a different format, not another bed size
Sunbeam model 32810123 is listed in two confirmed 50 × 70-inch versions with one controller and a built-in foot pocket. It is not a Twin size and has no two-side bed-control arrangement. If you need lap or chair coverage, compare the 32810123 foot-pocket throw; if you need an item to cover a bed, use the bed dimensions below. The format comparison explains why those measurements and controls should not be borrowed across product types.
Read the dimensions beside the bed label
The manufacturer gallery labels the microplush model 32810144 as 62 × 84 inches for Twin, 72 × 84 for Full, 84 × 90 for Queen, and 100 × 90 for King. The brushed-fleece model 32810136 is listed at 62 × 84, 72 × 84 and 84 × 90 inches for Twin, Full and Queen. The manufacturer product detail pages also show these dimension pairs with different ordering in the text table; the pair itself is consistent. Think of them as the actual two edge lengths rather than assume the first number always means width.
A size label cannot decide if the blanket will reach over a thick mattress, clear a footboard or hang as much as you prefer. Compare both measurements to the mattress and planned drop, and consider where the controller connector sits near the foot. The blanket should not need to be tucked or bunched to fit. If the edges would be trapped by the frame, a different size or bed cover is the better route.
Which versions show one control?
Product images for SKU 14610 (Poseidon Twin), 14611 (Poseidon Full), 14606 (Greystone Twin), 14607 (Greystone Full), 14603 (gray fleece Twin) and 14604 (gray fleece Full) each show a single controller. This arrangement gives one set of settings for that blanket. The manual explains how the control adjusts heat and shutoff, but it does not create a second zone where a second remote is not supplied.
Which sizes show two independent sides?
Queen and King microplush variants—14608 and 14609 in Greystone, 14612 and 14613 in Poseidon navy—and Queen fleece SKU 14605 show two controls. Pad SKUs 14796 Queen and 14797 King show the same two-control count in their exact variant images. Sunbeam’s linked instructions say each control on a dual-control item operates independently and warms one side. These are size-specific layouts, not separate removable panels or evidence of extra zones.
Use the exact model record and size SKU to check a seller's item. A listing photo may display the Queen variant even if the selected item is Twin; color swatches, an old description or a generic model name can obscure which size will ship. If a second control is essential, ask the seller to confirm the SKU and controller package in writing before ordering.
Microplush color is a finish choice
Greystone and Poseidon navy are two finishes of the same 32810144 model number. Their product pages list the same fabric type, sizes, wattage, cord length and control features. The size-specific catalog SKUs differ, but the available documentation does not indicate a functional change between colors. Gray brushed fleece is a distinct 32810136 model and has no King size in the current collection. The color and fabric choice should not be confused with control count or blanket coverage.
Plan the cable with the controller placement
The bed blankets list a 19-foot cord and the pad page lists 19 feet; the throw lists eight feet. The manuals still require a 110–120-volt wall outlet and prohibit extension cords, plug adapters, generators and inverters. Route every lead away from the bed frame, mattress and furniture pinch points. A longer published cord does not change setup instructions or the need to leave controls accessible.
When the sizes do not meet the need
If your mattress needs King coverage but you prefer brushed fleece, this product family does not show that combination. If Twin or Full needs two independently controlled sides, these exact versions do not show that arrangement either. A model should not be promoted into a configuration simply because another brand or an older blanket offered it. Compare the finder results and review the microplush or fleece details before checking a retailer's precise item.
