Microplush or brushed fleece: three Sunbeam queen options

Three current Queen options in Sunbeam's blanket collection illustrate why the finish name and the manufacturer model number should both be read. SKU 14608 is Greystone microplush, 14612 is Poseidon navy microplush, and 14605 is gray brushed fleece. The two microplush colors use the same manufacturer model number, 32810144; the brushed-fleece version is model 32810136.

Greystone microplush, Queen SKU 14608

Sunbeam describes both faces as microplush and lists the Queen at 84 × 90 inches. The page identifies a 100-watt blanket with a 19-foot cord, 12 heat settings, a 1–12-hour auto-off timer and overheat protection. The Queen image shows two controls; the linked manual says those controllers act independently, one for each side. The current manufacturer page provides this color as Greystone. See the 32810144 microplush assessment for the Queen’s controller setup, other sizes, finish options and laundry conditions.

Poseidon navy microplush, Queen SKU 14612

This is a second, genuinely different finish option in the official listing, not a different manufacturer model number. Its product page repeats model 32810144, the Queen dimension pair, microplush on both sides, 100 watts, 19 feet of cord, and the same control and care claims. The listed color is a dark navy rather than Greystone. The exact Queen product image is a manufacturer studio-style rendering/packshot with two controllers; it cannot establish how plush the fabric feels or whether your room lighting makes the shade look different. It links to the same full 32810144 review because the documented differences are finish and size-specific SKU, not a separate heating/control system.

Gray brushed fleece, Queen SKU 14605

Model 32810136 is the separate Queen version in brushed fleece. Its manufacturer page lists Gray as the color and says the reverse is the same fleece. The size and common technical details match the microplush Queen: 84 × 90 inches, 100 watts and a 19-foot power cord. Its Queen image shows two controls, while Twin and Full show one. As with the other family, the page's 12 steps and auto-off feature describe controller choices, not measured temperatures or a laboratory timing result. The 32810136 review covers the smaller-size limit and exact manual care sequence.

What the three Queen configurations share

All three Queen entries are presented as 12-setting blankets with an auto shutoff that can be adjusted from one to 12 hours. Their published maximum cord length is 19 feet; the manufacturer lists 100 watts. The 2026 manuals say the displayed setting dims after ten seconds, preserve the latest heat and timer settings, and switch off after the selected duration. Both current product pages advertise a five-year limited warranty, subject to the terms and proof-of-purchase requirements. None of those common specifications says one fabric is warmer, safer, more durable or faster to heat than another.

How to choose between them

Choose between the two microplush offers by exact color and SKU if you like that finish description; the model assessment covers both because the manufacturer reports the same model number and operating system. Choose gray fleece if that color and fabric listing are the right fit. Do not treat the word “plush” as a measured comfort rating or assume the different fabric changes electrical performance.

If King size is essential, these Queen comparison items are not the right decision point: the microplush model lists King SKU 14609 for Greystone and 14613 for Poseidon navy, whereas the current gray fleece page lists no King option. If you need one control on a Queen version or independent controls on a Twin, neither configuration is shown here. Verify the exact size and included controllers in the retailer listing and on delivery.

Comfort, care and return terms still matter

Sunbeam's product images are clean catalog packshots with overlaid size labels. They show the appearance and controller count of a selected Queen version but do not test feel, wire visibility, warmth uniformity or performance after laundering. If the tactile difference decides the choice, look for a return route that fits your needs. In every case, the manufacturer instructs you to detach the controller only after unplugging, wash cold on gentle or by hand, tumble low/delicate, remove the blanket damp, stretch it back to size, and finish air drying before reconnecting. Compare the full method in the care guide before choosing a fabric.
